Stitch Wars

Alive! I'm still crafting and writing and painting and drawing, trying to keep as busy as I possibly can!
Tonight was opening night for Stitch Wars, an exhibit composed of Star Wars inspired crafts at the Bear and Bird Boutique + Gallery in Lauderhill, FL @ Tate's Comics (Visit www.bearandbird.com for details!). The exhibits were fabulous and well worth the visit if you live in South Florida, if not pictures can be seen online @ Bear & Bird's Flickr photostream. Some of my favorite artists were featured such as Yummy Pancake and Moonbun creator Marcy Bridges along with many, many more talented and cleaver artists!! It's unreal to think I was a part of that line-up. Also, almost as if the folks at Tate's read my mind, when I got there McChris's Fett's Vett was playing and I was loving every moment of it as a Storm Trooper and Jango Fett were checking out the display case that housed some adorable amis, the baby Jabba & my own pieces.

Here are my submissions:

Fetts
Pill-chan Dresses Up: Jango Fett & Pill-chan Dresses Up: Boba Fett

Seclusion of Church and State (set)
Seclusion of Church and State (Padme & Anakin set)

They'll be on display from July 18th through August 29th alongside awesome things :P

I'll be back once I'm done with my fan art.

Krystal's Pill-chan

Krystal found a skein of Red Heart Super Saver in a bright, multi-colored dye called Piñata (imagine the tilde there please... or show me how to type the 17th letter of the Spanish alphabet with my keyboard!!) and felt it was perfect for a Pill-chan all her very own. The pattern suits her personality perfectly: bright, cheery and cute. And so, I traded her a professional massage for this Pill-chan and damn was it good:

I was up way late which lead to this midnight doodle (that's when I feel like working for some reason) of the Dope Faerie lying about, making a flock of Pill-chan:

Also, this friggin' rocks my socks:

Oi

I won't be updating Stranded this week, as I've spent the day focusing on scanning and editing some finished art work (check the hentaifamily LJ for one) and random sketches from the margins of my notebooks (I like writing my scripts by hand, just as well as this damn pc is dying on me >.<) which is how I spend time during writer's block. Also the only thing resembling story boards in my possession.

Wa-loli Muñeca (for those that don't know, Muñeca is a nickname of mine -spanish for doll-, more frequently used in my teenage years!):

Here's a sketch of Elsa from No, No, No:

There are about twenty pics and they are all posted in myspace.com/dopefaerie.

Am I wrong for wanting to see the new straight-to-DVD animated Disney film: Ariel's Beginning? Other than Aladdin, it's the only one whose sequels I've even bothered watching. I'm not saying they were good I'm just saying I watched them and save Return of Jafar, I didn't gouge out my eyes. I also want to see that Coco Chanel movie on Lifetime in Sept. for no good reason. I don't even give a damn about Chanel.

Also, if you ever hear of a movie called Confessions of a Go-Go Dancer or the book from whence it came creeping around you: run, hide and avoid at all costs. Unless you are totally drunk, high or on anti-psychotics. I've never seen anyone openly admit to being so many different shades of douche.

Stranded will be back next week (on LiveJournal & MySpace of course)!
